In collaboration with grocery delivery service Instacart, Samsung’s new refrigerators utilize internal cameras and AI technology to monitor food inventory. When supplies run low, the system can recognize the depleted items and suggest replenishments through Instacart, facilitating same-day delivery. Daniel Danker, Instacart’s Chief Product Officer, stated, “We’ve all dreamt of a refrigerator that could replenish itself. Now, thanks to this partnership with Samsung, that’s no longer the stuff of science fiction.”

Beyond automated grocery restocking, the updated Bespoke refrigerators feature a 32-inch screen equipped with Samsung TV Plus. This service offers access to over 300 live TV channels and thousands of on-demand movies and shows, providing users with free entertainment options directly on their refrigerator doors.

These innovative features are set to debut in Samsung’s 2025 Bespoke refrigerator models, with plans to roll out over-the-air updates to existing AI Family Hub fridges later in the year. Initially, the Instacart integration will be available exclusively in the United States, as the service is not currently operational in other countries. The anticipated price for these advanced refrigerators is approximately $4,999.

Samsung’s initiative reflects a growing trend toward integrating AI and smart technology into household appliances, aiming to streamline daily tasks and enhance user experience. By combining practical features like automated grocery ordering with entertainment options, Samsung positions its Bespoke series at the forefront of smart home innovation.
